MUSEUM TICKET SALE TERMS & CONDITIONS

1.1 These Museum Ticket Sale Terms & Conditions set out the terms, conditions and rules for your:
(a) purchase and use of Tickets; and
(b) visit to the Museum,
(hereinafter the Ticket Terms).

2.1 In these Ticket Terms, the following definitions will apply:
(a) Authorised Reseller means each and all entities appointed or approved by MOTF to sell and/or distribute Tickets pursuant to a Ticket re-sale agreement.
(b) Child or Children for the purposes of these Ticket Terms shall mean any individual that is fifteen (15) years of age in the Gregorian calendar, or younger.
(c) MOTF, we, us and our means the Museum of the Future LLC, a limited liability company with its address at Building 65, Sheikh Zayed Road, P.O. Box 66610, Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
(d) Museum means the Museum of the Future located at Building 65, Sheikh Zayed Road, P.O. Box 66610, Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
(e) Purchaser means a person who has purchased a Ticket from MOTF and/ or an Authorised Reseller.
(f) Ticket a valid ticket allowing the holder entry to the Museum, subject to these Ticket Terms.
(g) Visitor means the person who is in possession of a Ticket to enter the Museum.

5.1 All Tickets are issued subject to these Ticket Terms, the Privacy Policy and the Cookie Policy.
5.2 Tickets purchased on the MOTF website will be delivered by email to the email address supplied by the Purchaser.
5.3 By purchasing, accepting, holding and/or using a Ticket, a Purchaser and Visitor accepts and agrees to comply with these Ticket Terms including, for the avoidance of doubt, the Data Privacy Policy and the Cookie Policy.
5.4 If Tickets are bought on behalf of other Visitors, the Purchaser accepts these Ticket Terms on behalf of every Visitor.
5.5 To be eligible to purchase Tickets customers must:
(a) be 18 years old or be duly authorised by their parent or guardian; and
(b) be consumers, meant as a person purchasing the Tickets for their own personal use.
5.6 Once the Tickets have been purchased and/ or allocated, neither the Purchaser nor the Visitor can cancel, return or resell those Tickets. Tickets are non-transferable, non-refundable, non-resalable and non-exchangeable for any other promotion, discount, ticket, or cash.
5.7 At MOTF's discretion, you may switch date and/or time slot one (1) time by contacting the Museum Customer Service Team [here] at least 24 hours prior to original date and time slot. Alternative date and/or time slot will be subject to availability.
5.8 The Museum is private property. All persons entering the Museum must pay for admission or hold a valid Ticket which has been obtained from the MOTF website, at the Museum Customer Service Desk, or from an Authorised Reseller. The sale of Tickets by anyone other than MOTF or an Authorised Reseller is strictly prohibited and Tickets purchased by unauthorised sale channels will be void.
5.9 MOTF may restrict a Purchaser from purchasing a large volume of Tickets either in the same transaction or across multiple transactions. MOTF reserves the right to nullify such order if it suspects illicit or unauthorised business or sale of the Tickets.
5.10 MOTF reserves the right to refuse any access to the Museum if presented with a Ticket that does not comply with The Ticket Terms.

6.1 All Ticket prices are subject to change in the absolute discretion of MOTF without notice. If the Ticket prices are changed, the Ticket price applicable at the time of purchase will apply.
6.2 The only cash currency accepted in the Museum is the United Arab Emirates Dirham (AED). Payment is also accepted by credit card and debit card.
6.3 The online purchase of Tickets, products and/ or services, must be made by credit card or debit card. Purchases will be charged in United Arab Emirates Dirhams (AED).
6.4 Taxes and VAT will be applicable in accordance with the laws of the United Arab Emirates, as applied in the emirate of Dubai.

7.1 All Visitors regardless of age require a valid entry Ticket. Children aged 16 and older can enter the museum on their own. Children aged 15 and under must be accompanied by a parent or guardian over the age of 21. MOTF reserves the right to request proof of age.
7.2 Parent(s) and/or guardians of Children are responsible for those Children's actions, their conduct and compliance with these Terms and Conditions.
7.3 By entering the Museum, Visitors accept that they have a duty to take reasonable steps to ensure their own safety, taking into account any personal medical conditions. All persons in and around the Museum should behave in a safe manner at all times.
7.4 Whilst inside the Museum, all Visitors must comply with any reasonable instructions given to them by MOTF personnel or any third party instructed on behalf of MOTF.
7.5 Photography is permitted for personal, non-commercial use. Each Visitor should respect the privacy of other individuals when taking photos.
7.6 Tickets purchased are only valid on the date(s) printed on the Ticket. Please check the Museum's opening dates and times here. Ticket holder(s) should arrive 15 minutes prior to the time slot on the entry date as shown on the Ticket(s). MOTF cannot offer refunds if the arrival time slot is missed. Rebooking an alternate same-day time slot will subject to MOTF's discretion and based on availability with no guarantee.
7.7 Pioneer Pass holders can arrive any time on the valid printed on the Ticket. They will be offered priority entry based on availability with no guarantee. Presentation of your Pioneer Pass will entitle you to a AED50 credit to be redeemed in our in-store lobby retail shop (“Retail Credit”). The Retail Credit cannot be exchanged for cash, and must be redeemed on the same day as the Pioneer Pass ticket date. The Retail Credit can be redeemed over multiple transactions on the same day. Retail Credits can be combined and be used in one transaction. Please present your wristband or Pioneer Pass Ticket at the Retail Shop to avail your credit
All tickets can be redeemed at kiosks within the Museum of the Future lobby area or at the Customer Service desk in exchange for wristbands and wearables that enable exhibition access at the allocated ticket time.
7.8 MOTF in its absolute discretion, reserves the right to vary the opening and closing dates and times of the Museum and to close, remove or cancel all or any part of the exhibitions, events, or facilities within the Museum for any reason including, but not being limited to technical, health and safety and/or operational reasons or due to special events or private functions. The full value or any part of the value of the Ticket will not be refunded nor will any compensation be payable if any of the exhibitions or part of the Museum are removed or closed during the year.
7.9 All Tickets are systematically checked in the Museum. Any partially printed, soiled, damaged or illegible tickets cannot be accepted.
7.10 For virtual Tickets downloaded onto a smartphone application, any smartphone screen support that is cracked/ damaged or has lighting problems will be rejected at the time of the admission check. It is prohibited to photograph, film, record or re-broadcast in any way, the bar code that appears on the Tickets or to help any other person acting in this way.
7.11 Tickets must be retained for the entire duration of your visit to the Museum and can be checked at any time.
7.12 MOTF, acting reasonably at all times, reserves the right, in its absolute discretion, to refuse admission to the Museum, ban from entry to the Museum, or remove from the Museum without any right to a refund, any person whose presence or behaviour may affect the enjoyment and/or safety of other Visitors or staff, or who:
(a) acts in an inappropriate and/or undesirable manner whilst travelling to the Museum whether by bus, coach or other means, where such behaviour has been reported to MOTF by a reliable independent source;
(b) uses violent, aggressive, threatening, abusive, discriminatory or insulting words or behaviour or in any way behaves in a manner which may provoke a breach of the peace;
(c) climbs or stands upon fences, barriers, walls, safety fences, exhibits or any other buildings/structures at the Museum, enters or attempts to enter any part of the Museum which is a restricted or prohibited area as determined by MOTF;
(d) has displayed any sign or visible representation of any kind which is, or could be reasonably judged to be, threatening, abusive or insulting;
(e) has previously acted in any manner which has caused any person to report that individual to MOTF;
(f) is attempting to gain admission to the Museum without a valid Ticket, or has been found inside the Museum without a valid Ticket;
(g) has purchased or obtained any Tickets or discount vouchers from an unauthorised source;
(h) making unnecessary noise (such as that from the use of portable electronic devices) or any behaviour likely to cause annoyance to other visitors or confusion of any kind;
(i) smoking (including of e-cigarettes), other than in the designated smoking areas identified; or
(j) wearing clothing that is inappropriate, indecent or likely to cause offence to the local culture in any way.
7.13 If any Visitor in breach of any of these Ticket Terms is a member of a group, then such group of individuals may also, at MOTF's discretion, be denied entry or escorted from the Museum without any right to a refund. MOTF reserves the right to initiate legal proceedings or prosecute any person found damaging or defacing any part of the grounds, fences, barriers, walls, exhibits, fabrics or buildings at the Museum. At MOTF's discretion, future access to the Museum may be denied to any Visitor who has previously been denied entry or escorted from the Museum.

8.1 In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, MOTF has introduced specific safety measures at the Museum in an effort to safeguard the health, safety and wellbeing of Visitors.
8.2 It is in the interest of every Visitor to comply with the safety measures that have been put in place. Therefore, should a Visitor not comply with these safety measures, MOTF reserves the right to require that individual to leave the Museum.
8.3 The safety measures that are being and have been introduced are intended to minimise the risk of contracting the COVID-19 virus but this risk cannot be completely eradicated. Therefore, Visitors attending the Museum acknowledge that they do so at their own risk.

9.1 Parts of the Museum may contain loud noises and strobe effects, flashing lights, rapidly changing images, the use of lasers, various projections, and/or smoke machines. The Museum has labelled these areas for your information.
9.2 Certain individuals may experience epileptic seizures when exposed to certain patterns or lights or images. This can happen to people who have never experienced epileptic seizures in the past. Therefore if you experience dizziness, altered vision, eye or muscle twitches, loss of awareness, disorientation, any involuntary movement, or convulsions – please IMMEDIATELY inform those around you, and contact a member of staff.

10.1 The Museum embraces technology and may utilise virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR) in its exhibits. VR and AR will place simulated objects into the real world around you. In using the VR or AR equipment, it is mandatory that you follow any specific instructions that you are given, whether written or verbal. This may include time limits on usage, particularly for VR content.
10.2 Please note that some people may experience motion sickness, nausea, disorientation, blurred vision or other discomfort while viewing VR content. If you experience any of these symptoms, please immediately remove the VR headset, inform those around you, and contact a member of staff. It may take several minutes for this feeling to pass, so we recommend that you remain seated and within the Museum until you are ready to move around comfortably.
10.3 People who have had epileptic seizures in the past should not use the VR equipment.

11.1 To prevent offensive weapons or dangerous articles from being brought into the Museum, Visitors are admitted to the Museum subject to the condition that, if requested to do so, they will allow themselves and/or their belongings to be searched. It is prohibited to bring into the Museum any weapons, fireworks, smoke bombs, glass bottles or other articles which may cause injury. The throwing of any article which could cause injury or affect the enjoyment of other Visitors is strictly prohibited. Any person found to be in possession of an article deemed to be offensive or dangerous will be immediately escorted from the Museum without any right to a refund and MOTF reserves the right to make reports to the relevant authorities which may lead to prosecution.
11.2 CCTV cameras are used to assist in the proper running of the Museum. However, MOTF does not make any representation as to the extent of coverage provided by the cameras. All items, belongings and other property brought into the Museum by Visitors are at their own risk and MOTF accepts no liability for any loss or damage to such property.

21.1 Pets or animals of any nature are expressly prohibited in the Museum (except for guide dogs, hearing dogs and registered assistance dogs) and, for the avoidance of doubt, should not be left in any vehicle parked at the Museum. MOTF reserves the right to contact any relevant authority to make and be responsible for any decision in relation to any animals that are left unsupervised or that are found to be in distress.

13.1 There is valet and self-parking available at the Museum and is subject to additional terms and conditions. Vehicles are parked at the owners’ risk. MOTF takes no responsibility for damage caused to any vehicle using the car park or valet service and no guarantee is given as to the security of Visitors’ vehicles. If any Visitor loses their car park ticket, they will have to buy a new ticket. No vehicles are permitted to remain in the Museum outside the Museum's normal operating hours without the prior express permission of the Museum. The Museum retains absolute discretion as to whether such permission is granted.

14.1 Visitors acknowledge and accept the risks and dangers inherent in attending the Museum. The Visitors are required to pay the maximum attention and exert the maximum due care and prudence in and near the Museum.
14.2 Visitors acknowledge and accepts responsibility for their own safety and for the safety of any accompanying Children while attending the Museum.
14.3 Admission to the Museum is at the Visitor's sole risk. Neither MOTF, its affiliates, or staff accept responsibility or liability for any loss, injury or damage to a Visitor sustained within the Museum. MOTF does not exclude liability for death or personal injury caused by the negligence of MOTF.
14.4 Personal arrangements including travel, accommodation or hospitality relating to attendance at the Museum which have been arranged by or on behalf of the Visitor are at the Visitor's own risk.
14.5 Neither MOTF, its affiliates, or staff shall be responsible or liable to the Purchaser or Visitor for any incidental and indirect losses or damages including, but not limited to, loss of goodwill or profit and/or travel, parking or accommodation expenses.
14.6 Neither MOTF, its affiliates, or staff shall be responsible or liable in contract, tort or otherwise for any cost, claim, action, damage or loss suffered or incurred by the Purchaser or Visitor arising out of or in connection with:
(a) any act, omission, default or fault of the Purchaser or Visitor;
(b) any act or omission, default or fault by any third party;
(c) force majeure, including, without limitation, war, rioting, uprising, interruption in transport services, fire, computer failure, interruptions in telecommunications (including, without limitation, networks and the Internet), flooding or natural disaster;
(d) any error arising out of or in connection with order processing or printing of print-at-home admission tickets;
(e) any negligent act or omission arising out of or in connection with the loss, theft or the illegal use of the print-at-home ticket;
(f) any matter or thing arising out of or in connection with the use of the internet network (including, without limitation, the loss of data, interference, viruses or interruption of service);
(g) any matter or thing arising out of or in connection with the closing of the Museum cancellation or postponement of a programmed event at the Museum.
14.7 If a Purchaser or Visitor causes MOTF to incur loss, damage, costs or expense due to breach of these Ticket Terms or otherwise, then the Purchaser or Visitor (as applicable) shall be liable to MOTF for this.
14.8 If a Purchaser or Visitor causes a third party to incur loss, damage, costs or expenses due to its breach of these Ticket Terms or otherwise, then the Purchaser or Visitor (as applicable) shall be liable to the third party for this.
14.9 Except as required by law, neither MOTF, its affiliates, or staff shall have any liability to a Purchaser or Visitor beyond the face value of the Ticket purchased.
14.10 The Purchaser hereby agrees to indemnify MOTF from and against any and all liabilities, costs, demands, causes of action, damages and expenses (including attorney’s fees) arising out of or in any way related to the Purchaser's or Visitor's breach of any provisions of the Ticket Terms.

15.1 MOTF personnel, security or police officers, may remove any Visitor from the Museum who does not comply with these Ticket Terms. This is without prejudice to any claim that MOTF may have against such a person or arising out of their actions.
15.2 Except as otherwise stated in these Ticket Terms, these Ticket Terms do not create any legal rights for other people or organisations.
15.3 If there is any conflict or inconsistency between these Ticket Terms and the Privacy Policy, then the Privacy Policy shall take priority over these Ticket Terms.
15.4 In these Ticket Terms, any words that precede or follow the words including, include, in particular or for example or any similar phrase shall be illustrative only and shall not limit the generality of the related general words.
15.5 The Purchaser acknowledges and agrees that these Ticket Terms (and the additional terms referred to at section 5) constitute the complete and exclusive agreement for the purchase of the Tickets and admission to the Museum and supersede and govern all prior proposals, agreements, or other communications.
15.6 Nothing contained in these Ticket Terms shall be construed as creating any agency, partnership, or other form of joint enterprise between us.
15.7 MOTF's failure to require a Purchaser or a Visitor to perform any provision in these Ticket Terms shall not affect MOTF's full right to require such performance at any time thereafter, nor shall a waiver of a breach of any provision hereof be taken or held to be a waiver of the provision itself.
15.8 If any provision of these Ticket Terms is, or is found to be, unenforceable under any applicable law, that will not affect the enforceability of the other provisions of these Ticket Terms, or the enforcement of the Ticket Terms as a whole.
15.9 The headings in these Ticket Terms are for convenience only and shall not be used in its interpretation.
15.10 MOTF shall have the right to assign, transfer or sub-contract its rights and obligations stipulated under these Ticket Terms without any notification or consent required. Unless expressly stated otherwise, a Purchaser may not assign, transfer or sub-contract any rights or obligations stipulated under the Ticket Terms.
15.11 The Ticket Terms and your access to the Museum are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Dubai International Financial Centre.
15.12 Any dispute, difference, controversy or claim arising out of or in connection with these Ticket Terms will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Courts of the Dubai International Financial Centre.
15.13 MOTF reserve the right to make changes to these Ticket Terms without notice and without liability to a Purchaser or a Visitor at any time. Updated versions of these Ticket Terms will replace the existing version and are effective immediately.
