Join Our Bespoke Meditation Session: 'Shades of Utopia & Dystopia: A Sensory Memory Creative Meditation Experience'

This creative, active meditation will explore our individual and collective perceptions of the future through sensory memory exercises. Inspired by classics of futuristic literature, such as those by Ursula K. Le Guin and Aldous Huxley, this session will prompt participants to recall memories from their dreams and past experiences and summon visions of their futures. What is the world we truly want to be a part of? Who are we in our world today when we are present, genuine, and critical?

What to Expect:

Sensory Memory Exercises: Engage in activities designed to evoke memories from your dreams and past, encouraging you to envision your desired future.

Active Participation: The session will combine sensory memory with physical exercises, inviting you to express yourself through words and movement.

Literary Inspiration: Read selected excerpts from influential works of futuristic literature that will enrich our discussions and reflections.

What to Bring:

Comfortable Clothing: Please wear attire that allows for free movement.

Open Mind: Come ready to explore and connect with your senses and fellow participants.

Session Moderator:

Farah is a Palestinian poet and performer known for her dynamic spoken-word performances. She has performed internationally at festivals like Palestine en Campagne, Wilde Möhre, and Le Guess Who?Collaborating with Brazilian producer Liev, she formed the duo chamæleon. Farah holds a master's degree from Goldsmiths, University of London and is currently training as an actress in Sharjah.
