Shop Terms & Conditions
This Shop is operated by the Museum of the Future.
We offer this Shop, including all information, tools, services and the sale and offer of products available from this Shop to you, the user, conditioned upon your acceptance of all terms, conditions, policies and notices stated below.
1.1 By visiting our Shop and/ or purchasing something from us you agree to be bound by the terms and conditions set out herein (hereon referred to as the Shop Terms and Conditions).
1.2 To be eligible to purchase products from our Shop you must:
(a) be at least 21 years old or, duly authorized by your legal representative;
(b) be a consumer; and
(c) hold a valid credit or debit card.
1.3 If you are a parent or legal guardian and you permit your child to use our Shop, then these Shop Terms and Conditions apply to you and you are responsible for your child’s activity at all times when using the Shop.
2.2 You acknowledge that our Shop, its content and any services provided in relation to the same, is targeted to, and intended for use by, individuals located in the United Arab Emirates. We do not represent that content available on or through our Shop is appropriate for use in locations outside of the United Arab Emirates. By continuing to access, view or make use of our Shop and any related content and services, you warrant that doing so does not contravene any applicable laws and regulations in your jurisdiction and MOTF shall not be held responsible for any such contravention.
2.3 We do not guarantee that our Shop, or any content on it, will always be available or be uninterrupted. We may suspend or withdraw or restrict the availability of all or any part of our Shop for business and operational reasons.
2.4 You are also responsible for ensuring that all persons who access our Shop through your internet connection are aware of the Terms and Conditions and that they comply with them.
3.1 Occasionally there may be information on our Shop that contains typographical errors, inaccuracies or omissions that may relate to product descriptions, pricing, promotions, offers, product shipping charges, transit times and availability. We reserve the right to correct any errors, inaccuracies or omissions, and to change or update information or cancel orders if any information on the Shop or on any related Shop is inaccurate at any time without prior notice (including after you have submitted your order).
3.2 We undertake no obligation to update, amend or clarify information in the Shop, including without limitation, pricing information, except as required by law.
4.1 Any new features or tools which are added to the Shop shall also be subject to the Terms and Conditions. You can review the most current version of the Shop Terms and Conditions at any time on this page. We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to update, change or replace any part of the Shop Terms and Conditions by posting updates and/or changes to our Shop. It is your responsibility to check this page periodically for changes. Your continued use of or access to the Shop following the posting of any changes constitutes acceptance of those changes.
4.2 We may also, in the future, offer new services and/or features through the Shop (including, the release of new tools and resources). Such new features and/or services shall also be subject to the Terms and Conditions.
5.2 You understand that your content (not including credit card information), may be transferred unencrypted and involve (a) transmissions over various networks; and (b) changes to conform and adapt to technical requirements of connecting networks or devices. Credit card information is always encrypted during transfer over networks.
5.3 If you choose, or you are provided with, a user name, password or any other piece of information as part of our security procedures, you must treat such information as confidential and you must not disclose such information to any third party.
5.4 We have the right to disable any user name or password, whether chosen by you or allocated by us, at any time, if in our reasonable opinion you have failed to comply with any of the provisions of the Terms and Conditions.
5.5 If you know or suspect that anyone other than you knows your user name or password, you must promptly notify us through our Contact Us page.
6.1 We exclude all implied conditions, warranties, representations or other terms that may apply to our Shop or any products available on it.
6.2 To the fullest extent permitted by the applicable laws in the United Arab Emirates, we will not be liable to you for any loss or damage, whether in contract, tort (including negligence), breach of statutory duty, or otherwise, even if foreseeable, arising under or in connection with:
(a) use of, or inability to use, our Shop; or
(b) use of or reliance on any content displayed on our Shop; or
(c) use of any products purchased from our Shop.
6.3 Please note that our Shop is intended for domestic and private use. You agree not to use our Shop for any commercial or business purposes, and we have no liability to you for any direct, indirect or consequential loss of profit, sales or revenue, loss of business, loss of anticipated savings, business interruption, or loss of business opportunity, goodwill or reputation.
6.4 For the avoidance of doubt, where the limitation of our liability is not permitted pursuant to any applicable law or regulations, our liability shall be limited to the maximum extent permitted by such applicable laws or regulations.
7.1 Information on our products is available on the Shop and is provided in accordance with applicable laws in the United Arab Emirates. We make every effort to display as accurately as possible the colours and images of our products that appear at the store. We cannot guarantee that your computer monitor’s display of any colour will be accurate.
7.2 Certain products may be available exclusively online through the Shop. These products may have limited quantities and are subject to return or exchange only according to our Return Policy.
7.3 We do not warrant that the quality of any products, services, information, or other material purchased or obtained by you will meet your expectations, or that any errors will be corrected.
7.4 We will take all reasonable professional care to ensure that all details, descriptions, images of products appearing on the Shop are correct at the time when the relevant information was entered onto our system; however, to the extent permitted by applicable law, we do not warrant that said details, descriptions, images of products are totally accurate, complete, reliable, current, or error-free.
7.5 The products described on the Shop are for personal use only. You may not sell, resell, duplicate, copy or exploit any of these products. We reserve the right, with or without notice, to cancel or reduce the quantity of any products ordered by you that may result in the violation of these Terms and Conditions.
7.6 We reserve the right to refuse any order you place with us. We may, in our sole discretion, limit or cancel quantities purchased per person, per household or per order. These restrictions may include orders placed by or under the same customer account, the same credit card, and/or orders that use the same billing and/or shipping address. In the event that we make a change to or cancel an order, we may attempt to notify you by contacting the e-mail address or phone number provided at the time the order was made. We reserve the right to limit or prohibit orders that, in our sole judgment, appear to be placed by dealers, resellers or distributors.
7.7 In case of lack of conformity of products pursuant to the applicable laws in the United Arab Emirates, the legal guarantees established by such laws will apply. The customer waives these rights if it fails to notify us of the lack of conformity within reasonable time after the customer detected such lack of conformity.
8.1 All prices indicated for products available via the Shop are inclusive of VAT at the current rates and are expressed in local currency.
8.2 Delivery charges (where applicable) are displayed to users prior to finalizing an order and shall be added to the price of the products and are indicated separately on the order form.
8.3 We regularly verify that all the prices displayed on the Shop are correct, however, we cannot guarantee the absence of errors. In the event that an obvious error in the pricing of a product is detected, we will offer the customer the opportunity to purchase the product at the correct price or to cancel the order.
8.4 Prices may be modified at any time. Subject to any pricing errors as set out above, the applicable prices shall be the ones published on the Shop at the date that you place an order.
9.1 You may pay for products on our Shop by credit card. The following credit cards are accepted for payments:
(c) American Express
9.2 All card transactions will be subject to 3-D secure authentication and authorization by the issuing bank or by our third party payment service provider. If the issuer of your payment card or our third party payment service provider refuse or do not, for any reason, authorize payment to us, whether in advance or subsequent to a payment, we will not be liable for any delay or non-delivery.
9.3 Your payment card will be charged the applicable purchase price at such time. By placing your order on the Shop, you expressly authorize our payment service provider to perform such payment card authorization and, strictly for legitimate purposes and to the extent permitted under applicable regulations, to transmit or to obtain information (including any updated information) about you to or from third parties, including but not limited to your payment card number, to authenticate your identity, to validate your payment card, to obtain a payment card authorization and to authorize individual purchase transactions.
9.4 You understand and acknowledge that payments for products or services through our Shop are undertaken by a secured third party payment service provider and that we do not have any oversight of our third party payment service provider or its performance of payment services. MOTF shall have no liability of any kind for any act or omission (including negligence) of our third party payment service provider.
9.5 We have no liability for transactions which are incorrect as a result of inaccurate data entry by yourself or for loss of data or information caused by factors beyond our control.
9.6 You will receive a confirmation email once the payment has been received by our third party service provider.
9.7 Once a payment has been made it cannot be cancelled. We do not accept any responsibility for refusal or reversal of payments, which shall be a matter between you and your credit card issuer.
9.8 International cardholders purchasing products on our Shop may incur their own bank’s international service fees [, and such service fees would be in addition to any other applicable service fee that may be charged by MOTF or a third party service provider].
9.9 Where there has been a refund by us, MOTF shall have the discretion to deduct the any applicable service fee that may be charged by MOTF or a third party service provider from the refunded amount due.
10.1 After an order has been placed on our Shop, you will receive an email confirming receipt of the order.
10.2 If an order confirmation does not arrive within 24 hours after an order has been placed on our Shop, please contact us via our Contact Us page. If customers have any questions or concerns when placing an order or if they wish to enquire about a previously placed order, they may contact us via our Contact Us page.

If you are not entirely happy with your purchase, or even if you have changed your mind, return the product to us in accordance with this return policy in exchange for a credit note.
Conditions for return:
• Return the product to us unworn and unused, with all related accessories (if any), within the original box and packaging.
• Return the product with your proof of purchase.
• Make your return within 28 days from the date of purchase.
• No returns will be available for personalised or customised products, unless faulty or mis-described, in which case proof of purchase must be provided.
• Products that have been altered, damaged or misused by you will not be accepted.
Faulty or mis-described electrical products can be returned within 3 months from the date of purchase, with proof of purchase and provided it is returned in its original packaging.
Return process for online purchases:
If you purchased the product from our online shop, please log into your online account and select ‘My Orders’ within your profile account. You can also initiate your
return through www.museumofthefuture.ae/shop/returns and following the steps in accordance with the Conditions for Return.
Original shipping charges and customs fees and taxes, if any, incurred at the time of purchase are non-refundable, unless the product is faulty or mis-described.
For products purchased online and returned to us, we will do our best to process such returns within ten business days of our receipt of the product. In some cases, this period may be longer and if after 30 days you haven’t received a credit note or a contact email from us, please contact us at email@example.com.
If we accept the return, we will issue you with an online credit note which can be used within twelve months of the date of issue.
Return process for Museum Shop 'in-store' purchases:
If you purchased the product from our museum shop, please return the product to the museum shop in accordance with the Conditions for Return.
If we accept the return, we will issue you with an in-store credit note which can be used within twelve months of the date of issue.

Museum of the Future LLC reserves the right to refuse the return of any product that does not meet the requirements of this policy.
This policy is in addition to your consumer rights under applicable UAE law.
13.1 When trying to redeem a promotion code, you must enter your code into the “promotion code” box during the checkout process on the Shop. Promotion codes are case sensitive and should be entered exactly as they appear.
13.2 Only one promotion code may be used per order and users may not combine any offers and/or promotion codes in the course of one order.
13.3 We reserve the right to refuse any promotion code entered by a user in the event we suspect or become aware of any misuse by the user.
14.1 Occasionally, orders or parts of an order placed on our Shop may be cancelled by our system for various reasons. Some reasons are:
(a) Item(s) not available, although we take all professional care to ensure that unavailable items are clearly identified as such on the Shop
(b) Impossibility in processing payment information
(c) Cannot deliver to address provided
(d) Duplicate order was placed
(e) Cancellation due to a customer request
