As one element of the Monument to the Pioneers of our solar system, this skymapping Astrolabe with Venus illustrates its own navigational path and positioning. Venus is the second planet from the Sun and Earth’s closest planetary neighbour, and also nearly as large. Even though Mercury is closer to the Sun, Venus is the hottest planet in the solar system.

This brass planet sculpture on detailed astrolabe stand is hand-finished in the same process as those in the Museum of the Future's Orrery and includes an engraved inscription and Limited Edition markings on the bottom.
